I must first mention that you, personally, should not be able to smell your perfume all day long. Your sense of smell will get used to the fragrance and you will no longer smell it on yourself with in an hour or so.
In fact, if you can smell your perfume all day long, you probably applied WAY too much. However, there are a few perfume application techniques you can use that will help your fragrance last longer.
- Layer your perfume with a lotion of the same fragrance.
- Don't rub your wrists together after spraying on perfume. It actually damages the chemical composition of the perfume and causes the fragrance to break down quicker.
- Buy the more expensive eau de parfume over the edu de toliete version. The parfume will have a higher concentration of fragrance helping the smell to last longer and this is why it cost a little bit more.
- A bottle of perfume really only lasts for 12-24 months. If you have had your bottle of perfume longer than that you should replace it for the intended fragrance affect.
