What are some good homemade hair conditioners?

Honestly, you can rub all sorts of greasy foodstuff into your hair and they're going to be more expensive, less fragrant and harder to wash out than a store bought conditioner.

Commonly used homemade conditioners include mayonnaise, eggs and avocadoes, but I'd rather make a salad. Probably the best overall conditioner is a clear henna, which strengthens hair by smoothing the hair cuticle. Henna makes your hair glossy, too.

If you want your hair to look smoother and glossier, you can make your own conditioner by combining a small amount of essential rosemary oil with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or olive oil. Add a few drops of rosemary oil to a couple of tablespoons of carrier oil, warm slightly, and rub onto your damp scalp. Wrap in a towel and let rest for 45 minutes before rinsing out. Rosemary has long been known as being great for the hair and also prevents and controls dandruff.
