Does deep breathing affect hypertension?

Deep breathing, when carried out daily, can affect hypertension by reducing your stress levels and your blood pressure. People with heart disease, asthma and other breathing disorders have found that deep breathing brings them some measure of relief.

Chronic pain sufferers and people who have other ailments related to stress may also find some relief. You can learn deep breathing in about a minute—it's easier than making a sandwich! It or lie down in a quiet place. Take a slow breath in; your stomach should rise a bit, showing that the breath is deep. When you let your breath out, your stomach will flatten again. If your stomach isn't rising when you inhale, chances are that you're not breathing very deeply yet. Check to make sure your shoulders are relaxed and dropped down instead of tensed up around your ears.

Keep breathing in and out slowly and deeply. If you find yourself worrying about things, you can count each breath in and out to distract your mind while you breathe. Try deep breathing 5 minutes, twice a day and keep adding to the time until you're doing your deep breathing for 15 minutes at a time.

Should your lipstick match your clothes? No. Your lipstick should complement your skin tones. If your skin tones are warm, such as olive, red, brown or orange, your lipstick should also come from that color family. Warm tones will include browns, golds, oranges and orange-reds. Cool skin tones like pink or blue-black look great with true reds, pinks, or purples.
