How to choose the right lip gloss color for your skin

This is easy. Your skin is either warm or cool in overall tone. If your skin is pinkish or rosy but without orange overtones, you have cool coloring.

If your skin is dark brown or black with bluish undertones, you have cool coloring. If you're pale but leaning towards white instead of yellowish coloring, you have cool coloring. For cool coloring, choose lip glosses without a hint of yellow or orange in them. Raspberry is great, plummy purples, pinks, lavenders are fine. And true-blue red, but not an orange red, ever.

If you have yellow or orange undertones in your skin color, you'll want a warmly colored lip gloss. Look for peachy, coral, orange-red, brown or golden tones. Avoid anything bluish or pink in favor of melon-type colors.
