How can I give my skin a little extra glow?

If you want a natural glow, you can achieve it by using a facial scrub. Made with ingredients like almond or walnut shells, oatmeal or cornmeal, facial scrubs exfoliate the skin, scraping off the dead cells and leaving fresh ones gleaming.

You can make your own scrub by using about ½ teaspoon of cornmeal in a little lotion, with a splash of water thrown in. Don't ever rub hard with a scrub, just a little circular, smoothing motion will do the job. Afterwards, use your favorite moisturizer on dampened skin.

If you want a little more than a natural glow, you can use a skin bronzer for a tawny, sunkissed look or a makeup containing a wee bit of mica, which imparts a shimmer to the skin without the added tan.

Drinking your eight glasses of water and getting daily exercise can also add a healthy glow to your complexion.
